Santana et Earth, Wind and Fire

First show of our stay in Florida. Wahoo! We're starting strong! The bar is high.

What a beautiful place!

The ithink financial amphitheater is actually an outdoor stage, a bit like the Quebec City summer festival, but year-round.

Some of the audience has access to seats under a roof. Needless to say, these are the most expensive seats.

The rest of the audience can sit wherever they want in the "lawn" area. Everyone brings their own chair or blanket. It is also possible to rent equipment on site. Fortunately, we discovered this subtlety a few days before going to the show, because we had seats in the "lawn" area. We finally opted for the "bring your own chair" option.

What an atmosphere!

We arrived at the amphitheater around 6 p.m., for a show scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The "lawn" area was not very busy yet. People arrived little by little, very relaxed, and finally filled the area where we were installed completely.

When the first part started, the crowd quickly got involved. It didn't take long before everyone was up and dancing.

What a performance!

As much as Earth, Wind and Fire as Santana, we are not talking about first youths. But they still have energy and talent to spare.

Just the first part was worthy of a full show. We had a little emotional sequence when Earth, Wind and Fire played September, the song we had chosen for our entrance in the reception room of our wedding last month. As for Santana, a legend in our eyes. It was the first time we saw him in a show. Personally, I really felt like I was living a great moment. An exceptional musician, but who does not steal the show. He leaves the stage to his acolytes, all excellent. A special mention for the girl who played drums Cindy Blackman Santana. A machine!

In short, a superb evening that we will remember for a very long time.
