On Sunday afternoon, August 28, we went to a baseball game between the Miami Marlins and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Jean-François had to give me a quick lesson in baseball rules 101, since my knowledge of the sport was quite limited. I had a lot of specific terms and vocabulary to learn and a lot of statistics to keep track of. But I think I did well.

It must be said that the game was not very balanced. It ended 8-1 for the Dodgers. The Marlins, the home team, are not very good this season and the Dodgers are in the top of the standings.

The game was played at Marlins Park (LoanDepot Park) in Miami with a capacity of 36,742 people. We were far from full capacity.

We had seats at third base. The ticket prices are far from exorbitant, $18USD per person and we were pretty well placed.

The stadium was designed so that you can walk around the entire stadium and have a view of all angles of the game. There are a significant number of concessions for food and several bars.

The nice surprise of the day is that the stadium is air-conditioned! Thank goodness! Because it was scorching hot in the afternoon.
